Oracle is very proud of its user groups and in particular the hard work and dedication that is afforded to you our customers by the tireless work of volunteers. InSync10 is the result of years of planning and months of work by these customer volunteers. It is also the first time two of our largest independent groups - Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG) and Quest - have brought their membership together to share in one event.

May I encourage you to take this unprecedented opportunity to join the largest group of Oracle applications users in Australia and New Zealand by participating in this inaugural event. The InSync10 program is shaping up to provide you with over 100 speakers, many of whom are from our customer base and all of whom will no doubt be of a high standard.

As we all face some challenging times ahead, one thing remains important, and that is the need to extract maximum efficiencies from our business while taking advantage of the value in our existing IT solutions. You will see that the program these groups have developed for you will feature topics and information that you our customers, want to hear. InSync10 promises to be an extraordinary event with a comprehensive program developed by our customers for our customers.

I hope to see you there.

AUSOUG

Oracle is the largest enterprise applications supplier globally with products covering small to medium size businesses right through to the largest multinational corporations with single instance global implementations servicing operations on multiple continents, numerous tax regimes, languages and time zones. Project Fusion seeks to consolidate the technologies employed to deliver these systems within a single uniform framework of connectable components linked using industry specific work flows under the SOA framework. AUSOUG, OAUG and Oracle bring the world's leading experts to illuminate the pathway to Fusion Applications and to outline the key strategic opportunities available from Oracle's applications development strategies. These experts hold the keys to your use of these new systems and the best practice use of Oracle's existing systems.

As we know the adoption of Oracle's applications in any organization focuses attention on the operating practices of the organization, its structure and culture. As we implement these systems and customize the work flows we endeavour to streamline the manual support of business outcomes. Post implementation our organizations grapple with the daily support of these systems with one constant in the back of their minds, "Can this be done a better way?" Insync10 is a unique opportunity for Oracle's Applications community to learn from one another's practical experience on how to improve the use of these highly configurable and complex systems in a forum guided by experts and our peers.

Insync10 will provide you with comprehensive examples of how to use these systems effectively, what opportunities and benefits exist within the latest versions of Oracle's applications and finally how to prepare for Fusion. So join the world's largest independent applications user group communities, OAUG, AUSOUG and Quest in this unique program of focused application centric presentations, workshops and training sessions.

On behalf of the Quest ANZ Board I would like to extend an invitation to attend our annual conference InSync10. The conference is the major event for JD Edwards and PeopleSoft customers and as we did last year have joined with AUSOUG and Oracle to bring you the best possible Conference experience of 2010. This year we have expanded the conference to include the Oracle technical users as well. Simply put, it is now the premier Oracle conference in ANZ.

Every year the IT industry never ceases to amaze me and this year has been no exception. The finalisation of the SUN acquisition by Oracle early in the year has set a cracking pace with many of the reverberations of this announcement still to be felt. With the inclusion of the technical streams and the increase in the customer base through further acquisitions this conference is set to become one of the largest user conferences in the region.

With nearly 40 sessions specifically for our user community and a large number of these being presented by your peers as well as speakers from around the globe we are confident there is something here for you. We are reminded every year that the most valued sessions are those given by customers and indeed the strength of our user group is the experiences the user community share with each other.

So please come and share your experiences with other users and add to our user community knowledge base so that we may all grow. I truly hope to see you there and am looking forward to participating and networking with you and our new colleagues, at InSync10, the Quest, AUSOUG and ANZ Oracle conference for 2010
